History of Dean Morgan

Dean Morgan was superintendent of Natrona County Schools from 1935 to 1958.

“Dean Morgan Junior High was named in recognition of his years of service as a teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Schools.”

According to the 1990 book, “Signature Book of Natrona County Schools,” the school was the city’s first junior high when it was built in 1953. It was originally known as Casper Junior High. Its name was changed to Dean Morgan Junior High after Morgan retired in 1958.
